Brand Registry Q&As

How do I qualify for Amazon Brand Registry?

To qualify for Amazon Brand Registry, you need to have an active registered trademark in each country where you wish to enroll. The trademark must be in the form of a text-based mark or an image-based mark with words, letters, or numbers.

How do I enroll my brand in Amazon Brand Registry?

To enroll, visit the Amazon Brand Registry website and sign in using your Amazon seller or vendor credentials. Provide your trademark information, including the trademark registration number, and submit the required documentation proving ownership of the brand.

Can I enroll in Brand Registry if my trademark is pending?

No, Amazon requires that your trademark be fully registered in the country where you wish to enroll in Brand Registry. Pending trademarks are not eligible until they are officially registered.

What should I do if I find a counterfeit of my product on Amazon?

If you’re enrolled in Brand Registry, use the Report a Violation (RAV) tool to report the counterfeit listing. Provide all necessary details, including the ASIN of the counterfeit product and evidence of the infringement, to help Amazon investigate and take action.

How can I manage my brand’s representation on Amazon through Brand Registry?

Brand Registry gives you greater control over your product listings, allowing you to ensure accurate and consistent product information, create enhanced content like A+ pages and Brand Stories, and manage your brand’s storefront to improve customer experience.

What is A+ content, and how can I use it through Brand Registry?

A: A+ content allows brand owners to enhance their product descriptions with rich texts, images, and comparison charts. Enrolled brands can use the A+ Content Manager in Seller Central to create compelling product narratives that can lead to higher conversion rates. Need a guide on how to optimize your A+ Content? Can I enroll in Brand Registry if I sell through an Amazon distributor or as a vendor?

How can I retract a mistakenly filed report of infringement on the Amazon Brand Registry?

To retract an infringement report mistakenly filed in the Amazon Brand Registry, navigate to the Monitor tab on the Brand Registry homepage, click on Submission History, open the complaint detail, and select “Retract a Complaint.” A case will be created for monitoring the retraction process.

How do I change the brand name on my Amazon listing?

It may require providing documentation that proves the brand name change and ensuring the updated name complies with Amazon’s policies.

What should I do if my brand is not recognized by the Amazon Brand Registry?

If your brand is not recognized, ensure that your trademark information accurately matches your Brand Registry application, including the trademark number and brand name. If discrepancies are found, correct them and contact Brand Registry support for further guidance.

Kristen Lasch

Kristen Lasch

BRAND DIRECTOR

Kristen started her professional work on Amazon in 2018 as a professional seller and project-based Account Manager. She has ample knowledge of both Seller Central and Vendor Central. With a degree in Art & Design, Kristen has a passion for problem-solving and thinking outside the box. She loves to help grow accounts by unraveling underlying issues, organizing catalogs, and providing creative branding ideas. With an extensive background in customer experience, she is able to really dive into the mind of a customer regarding listing optimizations and how to market products appropriately. In her free time, Kristen enjoys spending time with her family and working on growing their own private label account.

I was fortunate to be part of MAG's first batch of its Advertising Internship Program. The timing was perfect for me as I was looking for an opportunity to learn more about Amazon PPC and at the same time to have hands-on training to work on accounts.

When I started my internship, I listed down the things I wanted to learn. And I am happy to say that I've ticked all the boxes! My most favorite was "Optimization Using Bulk Files”. Bulk files and I, we did not get along at first, it was so scary seeing all those data! But I had a great mentor who guided me along the way. He patiently taught me step by step on how to process the data. He was very enthusiastic in answering all of my questions. He supported me until I gained the confidence in uploading my first, second, third (and so on) bulk uploads.

The biggest advantage in working with MAG (and I must say one thing that I always look forward to every week) is its Weekly Ads Training. Every week, we discuss various topics about PPC. Interns/Ads Specialists/Ads Managers, we all share knowledge, information, and updates about PPC. During our discussions, we exchange ideas and feedback. It became an avenue not just to learn a skill, but also to clear any vague or ambiguous PPC topics.

For me, the biggest disadvantage is the work schedule. As an Intern, I have to follow EST timing. The time difference from my location was only 8 hours, but being a morning person, I really struggled to keep myself awake. But if you are a night owl, then this will not be a problem for you.

So if you are considering joining the MAG Advertising Internship Program, my advice to you is to take action - APPLY NOW! The knowledge that you will gain and the skill that you will develop from this program will be invaluable. And who knows? From being an Intern, you might be the next one to be promoted as Jr. Ads Specialist!
