Security Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Security Administrator to manage user access, credentials, and routine security operations across various business systems. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to maintain security integrity across multiple platforms. This role is critical in ensuring that company systems remain secure, compliant, and efficiently managed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Password & Credential Management
      • Manage, reset, and update passwords and credentials across key business tools (1Password, Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, AWS, etc.)
      • Ensure all credentials are securely stored and rotated according to internal security protocols.
  • User Access Administration
      • Add, remove, and modify user access and permissions across various systems.
      • Maintain appropriate access controls based on user roles and department needs.
  • Security Ticket Resolution
      • Respond to and resolve security-related support requests in a timely manner.
      • Perform hands-on system changes as needed and escalate complex issues to the Security Director.
  • Account Provisioning & Deprovisioning
      • Set up accounts for new employees and revoke access for departing team members in accordance with security policies.
      • Ensure a smooth onboarding/offboarding experience while maintaining strict security compliance.
  • Basic Security Monitoring
      • Monitor systems for unusual or suspicious activity.
      • Report and escalate potential security incidents to the Security Director.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    • Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all access changes, credential updates, and security-related actions.
    • Support internal audits and compliance checks by ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT administration, user access management, or a related security operations role.
  • Strong knowledge of authentication methods, account provisioning, and access control best practices.
  • Experience managing systems such as Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, AWS, or 1Password preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and escalation procedures.
Technical Requirements
  • A dual monitor setup is required (at least 8GB of RAM)
  • Must have at least 25 MBPS internet speed
