With the Meta affiliate program, creators can link existing affiliate accounts to Facebook, allowing followers to shop directly from posts or Reels and giving sellers a new channel for visibility and sales.

Many sellers struggle to get their products in front of social audiences without paying high advertising fees. Traditional affiliate tools often left conversions on the table due to extra clicks and lost attention.

With the Meta affiliate program, creators can connect their existing affiliate accounts to Facebook, making shopping easier for followers and streamlining commission opportunities. Considering that 76% of users intend to buy after seeing a social post, sellers can now tap a highly engaged audience to drive meaningful sales.

Meta Affiliate Program Broadens Creator Commerce on Facebook

Meta has officially introduced the Meta affiliate program, enabling creators to embed products from Amazon, Shopee, eBay, Temu, and Mercado Libre directly in Facebook posts and Reels. Liz Morton from Value Added Resource reports that this eliminates the need for directing audiences to bios, comments, or swipe-up links, letting followers shop immediately while creators earn commissions.

The Facebook affiliate program starts with Amazon in the United States and Shopee in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Brazil, and Taiwan. Additional partners, including Mercado Libre in Brazil and Mexico, as well as Temu and eBay in the US, are scheduled to join in the coming months, expanding affiliate marketing for e-commerce on a global scale.

Creators can connect their existing affiliate accounts to Facebook, enabling clickable product tags in posts and Reels, along with an affiliate banner to highlight recommendations. Once linked, creators can search by product name or category, view commission rates, product ratings, and details, or have Facebook auto-detect preexisting affiliate links.

Sellers benefit from the program as it opens a new channel for visibility and potential sales while keeping commissions tied directly to the affiliate partner. For Amazon agencies and other marketplace sellers, this integration offers a streamlined way to reach audiences already active on Facebook.

Expand Your Amazon Reach With the Meta Affiliate Program

Facebook is introducing the Meta affiliate program to connect creators with marketplaces like Amazon, enabling them to tag products directly in Facebook posts & Reels. This setup simplifies the shopping experience for followers and provides sellers a new avenue to reach audiences without relying on indirect links or extra steps.

The program’s initial rollout focuses on Amazon in the US, with eBay and Temu joining shortly, offering creators a streamlined way to monetize their content. By participating in this marketplace affiliate partnership, creators can embed affiliate products into content seamlessly, allowing commissions on qualifying purchases.

eBay’s participation in the beta program is designed to enhance seller visibility and help creators monetize content through authentic storytelling. The program also aligns with Facebook shopping features, letting users tap a product to shop directly via the affiliate partner’s app or mobile website.

According to Ina Steiner from eCommerce Bytes, Facebook is testing additional tools, including a new AI experience to provide more product information and a one-tap checkout system supported by PayPal and Stripe, with Adyen and Shopify integrations coming later. This development highlights the potential of affiliate marketing for e-commerce, offering creators and sellers a more efficient way to connect with engaged buyers.

New Meta Affiliate Program Simplifies Shopping on Facebook

Facebook has formally launched the Meta affiliate program, allowing creators to tag shoppable products directly in posts and Reels with no redirects or third-party tools. By integrating affiliate tools directly into posts and Reels, the Meta affiliate program enhances the efficiency of affiliate marketing for e-commerce, helping creators and sellers connect with engaged buyers more effectively.

Creators can now access participating products, check commission rates, and link existing accounts to tag items seamlessly in content. Launch partners in the US include Amazon, with Temu and eBay joining soon, creating a scalable and simplified affiliate marketing strategy for brands looking to grow social media traffic for Amazon listings.

The program automatically labels affiliate content as branded, eliminating the need for manual business partner tags. Facebook is also testing a similar experience on Instagram Reels, allowing creators to tag up to 30 items per post, expanding potential reach across multiple markets.

Meta is introducing AI-powered tools alongside the affiliate program, including a product insight feature and an updated in-app checkout system built with Stripe and PayPal. These integrations aim to complete the commerce loop within Meta apps, giving creators and brands more control over conversions and purchase experiences.
