What the Hippo Sak listing does well
Credit where it’s due: the listing carries the Amazon’s Choice badge, 4.8 stars on over 10,000 reviews, and 3,000+ bought last month. It’s made in the USA. That’s a real brand. The goal of this review is to point out where it’s leaking money.
Amazon listing image optimization: only two images
The image stack has two images. That’s it. Nobody can touch a trash bag online, so the images are the sale. Two images can’t cover size, strength, use and benefits the way a full stack of 7 to 9 can. The brand is paying for that click and then showing shoppers two pictures. To be fair, the listing does have 11 videos in its gallery (as of November 4, 2026). This review covers the still images only.
Amazon listing image optimization is usually the fastest win for a listing like this: 7 to 9 images covering size, strength, use and benefits.
Amazon bullet points: too short
The longest bullet is about 100 characters and the shortest is 35. We want 250 to 500 characters each. “Guaranteed stronger than all leading brands” is a great claim, so prove it: put the handles, the puncture resistance and the plant-based story to work in the bullets.
Amazon title length on mobile
The title runs 188 characters. Amazon cuts long titles down on mobile, so the first 75 or so characters have to do the selling.
Brand Story and A+ Content
When we checked on November 4, 2026, the listing had no Brand Story module, and the A+ Content had about 130 words of text across 10 images. That’s free real estate the listing isn’t fully using.
The first three fixes
- Images: add a size shot, a strength demo, lifestyle images and an infographic.
- Bullets: expand each bullet to 250 to 500 characters and back up the strength claim.
- Title: front-load the first 75 characters for mobile shoppers.
Bottom line: Hippo Sak has earned the reviews. The listing just isn’t cashing them in. If this sounds like your Amazon account, book a call and we’ll show you what it’s costing you, and the first three fixes.
Video transcript
Hey, Hippo Sak team. You're on Amazon, but are you the brand shoppers click, or skip? Brands tell me, we've plateaued, or we're losing money on every unit once ads hit. Sound familiar?
First, credit where it's due: Amazon's Choice badge, 4.8 stars on over 10,000 reviews, 3,000-plus bought last month, made in the USA. That's a real brand. My job is to point out where it's leaking money.
Look at your image stack: two images, that's it. Nobody can touch a trash bag online, so the images are the sale. No size shot, no strength demo, no lifestyle, no infographic [in the two still images; the listing gallery also has 11 videos as of November 4, 2026]. You're paying for that click, and then showing them two pictures.
Now the bullets. Your longest is about a hundred characters. Your shortest is 35. We want 250 to 500 each. "Guaranteed stronger than all leading brands" is a great claim. Prove it. Put the handles, the puncture resistance and the plant-based story to work.
Your title runs 180 characters [the title is actually 188 characters]. Amazon cuts long titles down on mobile, so the first 75 or so have to do the selling, and there's no Brand Story module, and your A+ is light on copy. That's free real estate you're not using.
Here's what I'd do. Images first, then bullets, then the title. Bottom line: you've earned the reviews. The listing just isn't cashing them in. If any of this sounds like your account, click the link below this video, and I'll show you what it's costing you, and the first three fixes.
